1. What is Red Bali

What is Red Bali

Red Bali is a potent variant of the evergreen kratom plant originating in Southeast Asia. However, the exact location of its origin is up for debate as many enthusiasts contemplate where and when Red Bali was created.

Bali is offered in 4 different colors, each producing a unique set of effects and benefits. They are:

  • Red Bali: The most sedative and best for pain relief. It also helps with anxiety and depression as it can relax the mind and body.
  • White Bali: The most energizing of all colors. White strains usually aren’t very effective for pain relief. However, White Bali can be used to treat minor aches and pains.
  • Gold Bali: A blend of red and white Bali, leaning more towards the energizing white.
  • Green Bali: Same as gold, but more euphoric and ideal for pain, anxiety, and depression relief.

The color of the veins of the kratom leaves dictates the strain’s name. In Red Bali’s case, the veins are red, hence the name.

The leaves are home to a variety of alkaloids responsible for Red Bali’s amazing benefits. However, the two most popular are Mitragynine and 7-Hydroximitragynine

These two alkaloids bind to the same receptors in our brain as opioid drugs and, therefore, produce roughly the same effects without the detrimental side effects.

Most drug tests will be unable to detect kratom alkaloids. The only exception is the 10-panel test used by law enforcement agencies.

2. Red Bali Effects & What They’re Good For

Red Bali’s popularity isn’t just attributed to the fact that it provides many benefits. The primary reason is due to its incredibly potent effects.

2.1. Red Bali Pain Relief

Red Bali Pain Relief

The most common reason people use Red Bali is, without a doubt, its effective pain relief. The pain relief can treat anything from minor aches and discomforts to throbbing migraines and back pain.

Because Red Bali is so sedative, I highly recommend it for people who have trouble sleeping at night from chronic pain.

Here is a long list of medical conditions that can be treated with Red Bali’s amazing pain relief:

  • Muscle soreness
  • Body Aches
  • Headaches
  • Migraines
  • Chemo pain
  • Physical trauma
  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Inflammation
  • Osteoporosis
  • Sciatica

The pain relief can last anywhere from 3-5 hours.

2.2. Red Bali Relaxation

Red Bali Relaxation

Red Bali may not be very euphoric, but it still produces mental and physical relaxation coupled with sedation. You’ll feel as if your whole body got a break from the stress or tension.

I like to describe it as the feeling you get when you meditate, but more sedative.

You can use the relaxation to alleviate:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Muscle tension
  • Nervousness
  • Social Anxiety
  • Opioid addiction

The relaxation lasts about 3-5 hours.

2.3. Red Bali Sedation

Red Bali Sedation

Red Bali produces the strongest sedation effects of all strains, regardless of color. Once you begin to feel drowsy it hits you like a freight train. Good luck trying to stay awake.

Sedation helps you not only fall asleep but remain asleep throughout the night. There have been many times when I have had trouble waking up in the morning because of how potent the effect is.

Unlike other effects, which can kick in as quickly as 5 minutes, sedation (from any strain) can take up to an hour or more.

The initial drowsiness that puts people to sleep (the KO punch) lasts about an hour. However, once you fall asleep the sedation can last as long as 7 hours.

The sedation effects can be used to treat:

  • Insomnia
  • Sleep paralysis (I used it for this)
  • Lack of sleep from chronic pain
  • Restlessness

2.4. Red Bali Appetite Suppression

Red Bali Appetite Suppression

Want to lose weight? Need to stop eating? Red Bali’s got you covered. Very few people are aware of the fact that Red Bali, and most kratom strains in general, are great appetite suppressors.

Once you take Red Bali, your appetite will go away within roughly 20 minutes, lasting anywhere from 2 to 5 hours.

Hence, Red Bali is perfect for people trying to increase their time without eating. It’s ideal for skipping dinner and going to bed on an empty stomach.

Take advantage of the appetite suppression if you are:

  • Dieting
  • Want to lose weight
  • Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

3. How to Take Red Bali

Red Bali is commonly taken three ways, all of which use powder to get the job done.

  • Toss and Wash
  • Kratom Tea
  • Capsules

How you take Red Bali will depend on a few questions.

First, do you like bitter flavors? Second, how fast do you want to feel the effects? Third, how much do you value convenience? Fourth, how much do you want to spend?

All three ways of taking kratom have the potential to produce strong effects.

3.1 Toss & Wash

If you do not like bitter flavors or harsh powdery texture, I recommend you take Red Bali differently.

However, you’ll be rewarded with amazing effects if you overcome all the unpleasantry.

Pros:

  • Quick consumption
  • Potent results
  • Cheapest
  • Fast acting effects

Cons:

  • Bitter taste & harsh texture
  • Can get messy

3.2. Kratom Tea

The taste of Red Bali tea is unique. It’s bitter and earthy, not unlike green tea. You can mitigate the bitterness by adding honey. It won’t completely mask the taste, but it helps.

I highly recommend buckwheat honey because the buckwheat compliments the herbal flavor.

Pros:

  • Fast acting

Cons:

  • Bitter taste
  • Lengthy preparation time
  • Requires more powder (higher cost)

3.3. Capsules

However, there are two downsides to capsules. First, they cost more than powder; second, the initial effects take quite a while (30-45 minutes).

Pros:

  • Convenient
  • Quick consumption
  • No powder messes
  • No harsh tastes
  • Potent effects

Cons:

  • Higher cost
  • Delayed effects

4. How Much Red Bali Should You Take?

How Much Red Bali Should You Take?

Your kratom dose is going to depend on a few factors. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all dose. Quite the contrary, the universal doses that I frequently read in other blogs are misleading and can even trigger side effects.

Therefore, I will provide you with a low starting dose and then teach you how to safely work up to find the perfect sweet spot dosage.

The following factors will all have a large influence on your dose:

  • Weight: Generally speaking, the more you weigh, the more kratom you will need.
  • Gender: Men tend to require more kratom than women, although there are rules to every exception.
  • Food: Like with alcohol, having lots of food in your system will weaken the effects.
  • Tolerance: Some people have more or less tolerance to substances than others. We’re all different, so everyone may have slightly varying Red Bali experiences.

Some rules to keep in mind while you’re experimenting to find the perfect dose:

  • Don’t take Red Bali twice on the same day, as this may trigger side effects, especially if you’re new to kratom.
  • Take Red Bali at least 2 hours after your last meal.
  • Stick to only one way of taking Red Bali while you experiment.

4.1. Red Bali Toss & Wash Dose

Start with 2 grams if you’re under 200 pounds and 3 grams if you’re heavier.

If you don’t obtain the desired results (weak or nonexistent effects), increase the dose by 1 gram the following day.

Repeat this process until you obtain the perfect and desirable benefits.

If the starting dose provided the effects you hoped to attain, stick with it as this is your ideal dose.

4.2. Red Bali Tea Dose

To find your tea dose, start with 4 grams if you’re under 200 pounds or 6 grams if you’re heavier.

Remember never to boil red Bali water; otherwise, you’ll destroy the alkaloids.

If the starting dose provided satisfactory results, you’ve found your dose.

If not, add a gram daily until you obtain your desired effects.

4.3. Red Bali Capsules

If you use capsules, start with 3 if you’re under 200 pounds and 4 if you’re heavier.

Remember, feeling the effects takes at least 30-45 minutes. However, if you feel the effects are weak or worse and don’t feel anything, increase your dose by adding one capsule the following day.

If the starting dose worked well for you, that is now yours. Stick with it until your tolerance increases.

4.4. When to Increase Your Dose?

When to Increase Your Dose?

Increase your dose by one gram when your current dose produces weak effects. Unless you’re taking kratom multiple times a day it can take weeks or months before you increase your dose.

This is why I suggest taking Red Bali only when you need it. Using it recreationally will skyrocket your tolerance and has the potential to cause dependency.

Once you’ve gotten close to doubling your original dose, it’s time to take a tolerance break. Refrain from using kratom for at least one month to revert to your starting dose or close to it.

5. What Are The Side Effects of Red Bali Kratom?

The side effects of Red Bali can be grouped into two categories: short-term and long-term.

5.1. Short-Term

Short-Term

Short-term side effects are usually induced by taking a larger dose than your body can handle. Hence, I’m very insistent on carefully increasing your dose.

You may experience the following side effects from large doses:

  • Nauseous Headache: The notorious kratom headache is a nasty one. If it’s really bad, it may cause vomiting. I’ve experienced it myself, and it’s gone away each time after an hour or so.
  • Getting High: You read that right. You can get high from kratom, but it’s not like a marijuana high. A high kratom produces feelings of dizziness, not time slowing down or uncontrollable laughter. It’s rather unpleasant if you ask me.
  • Constipation: Kratom will dehydrate your body, so make sure to drink plenty of water when you use Red Bali.

5.2. Long-Term

If you google the long-term side effects of kratom, you’ll find a long list from websites like Mayo Clinic and Healthline.

But here’s something interesting: so many sites generate revenue via ads and sponsored content from pharmaceutical, biotech, and other medical companies.

A few of their long-term side effects claims are:

  • Insomnia
  • Fatigue
  • Weight-loss
  • Appetite loss
  • Constipation

I’ve been taking kratom for 5 years now and haven’t had any health issues, nor do I know anyone whose had issues with long-term kratom use. I guess it depends on the individual.

Unlike the media, which likes to tell you what to think, I’ll let you decide what’s best for you.

6. Red Bali vs Red Maeng Da

Red Bali vs Red Maeng Da

Red Bali and Red Maeng Da are the two most popular red strains for a reason. They are highly potent and effective, but why is Red Bali more popular?

I can only speculate at this point, but I assume it’s most likely due to its sedative benefits. Red Maeng Da is not as sedative as Red Bali, but it does produce a bit more of a feel-good effect.

If people want to feel good, they probably would rather buy a green strain, such as Green Maeng Da or Green Malay.

Other than those two differences, both strains are extremely beneficial for treating medical conditions that exert pain.

7. Red Bali vs Red Hulu

Red Hulu is another popular red strain, but not as popular as Red Bali. Much like Red Maeng Da, Red Hulu provides great pain relief without the intense sedation.

If your goal is pain relief without sedation, use Red Hulu. If you have trouble sleeping because of pain, use Red Bali. If you want a strain that provides pain relief without sedation and makes you feel good, use Red Maeng Da.

8. What’s the Word On Reddit Regarding Red Bali?

What's the Word On Reddit Regarding Red Bali?

As you probably assumed, most Reddit users have nothing but positive things to say about Red Bali.

We’ll start with Redditer ManInBarn, who 3 years ago switched from Maeng Da to Red Bali and never looked back.

He claims the effects of Red Bali are far more potent, and only when he began using it twice a day did he notice the benefits begin to dwindle.

climbingfool1098 writes about how he had average experiences with Red Bali, and it wasn’t until someone told him to increase his dose that he began experiencing amazing effects.

Last but not least, here is an unknown Redditer, who verifies my claim regarding Red Maeng Da’s slight stimulating effects.

Very few people have had negative experiences with Red Bali, but when they do, switching vendors usually rectifies the situation, as each strain may vary slightly with different vendors.

FAQ

Can I mix Red Bali with other strains?

You can mix any strain.

How do I avoid stagnant strain with Red Bali?

To avoid a high tolerance to Red Bali, you can alternate it daily, weekly, or monthly with a different red strain. I suggest Red Borneo because it’s very similar to Red Bali.

Is Red Bali Kratom suitable for 1st timers?

Although Red Bali Kratom is very potent, first-time users can have great experiences following the guided dosing directions above. If you are extra sensitive to substances, you may want to start with a different red strain, such as Red Hulu.
