Green Malay Kratom

Green Malay is undoubtedly one of the most popular and potent green strains on the market. It’s commonly used to treat a wide variety of symptoms, such as pain and anxiety.

After using Green Malay and comparing it to dozens of strains, I’ve concluded that it really lives up to its reputation. Allow me to share everything I’ve learned from personal experience and research.

In this Green Malay review, I will thoroughly explain the following:

  • What Green Malay is and its origin
  • Its many effects and uses
  • The different ways of taking it
  • How to find your dose
  • Compare it to other strains
  • Go over Super Green Malay

Looking for other potent strains? Don’t miss these posts!

With that being said, let’s jump right in.

What is Green Malay Kratom?

Green Malay Kratom

Green Malay is a unique kratom strain originating from, you guessed it, Malaysia in Southeast Asia. Due to its ideal growing environment, Malaysia is responsible for producing many of the world’s best strains, one of which is Green Malay.

Southeast Asians have cherished Green Malay for ages due to its incredible potency. Personally, after trying it, I can attest to its exceptional strength. It’s no surprise that it’s one of the most searched strains, alongside Green Maeng Da.

Green Malay comes in three colors: red for relaxation, white for stimulation, and green, offering a blend of both effects. Harvested when the veins turn green, it combines the best of red and white strains.

The size of kratom leaves, usually 1-8 inches, determines their alkaloid content and profitability. Green Malay stands out for its large leaves, making it desirable for both suppliers and consumers.

Its key alkaloids, Mitragynine and 7-Hydroximitragynine, bind to opioid receptors in the brain, offering medicinal benefits akin to opioids but without the harmful side effects.

Kratom alkaloids are not tested for in drug tests. You will NOT fail a drug test for using kratom.

Only drug tests from law enforcement agencies, such as the 10-panel drug test, may detect metabolites found in kratom.

Green Malay Effects & What It’s Used For

Part of the reason why Green Malay is so popular is not only because it produces potent effects but also because it can be used to treat a wide variety of medical conditions and symptoms.

Many people have used Green Malay to successfully replace their pharmaceutical drugs and/or addictions.

However, please speak to a licensed physician if you plan to do the same.

The following table shows how potent each effect is, with 10 being very potent and 1 being very weak.

Let’s go over each effect and how it can be properly utilized.

Relaxation

Relaxation

Green Malay’s amazing relaxation effects are both mental and physical. After consuming it, you will notice the tension in your body melt away, and the negative thoughts in your mind come to a screeching halt.

The relaxation effect can best be described as the feeling you get after meditating or the peace you obtain once you realize a very bad problem has been solved or gone away.

However, it’s not the same relaxation produced by red strains. It’s not sedative. Quite the contrary, it’s well balanced with a surge of energy.

Green Malay’s relaxation property can be used to mitigate the following conditions:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Nervousness
  • Social anxiety
  • Opioid addiction

The relaxation can be expected to last about 3-5 hours.

Pain Relief

Pain Relief

Based on my research, Green Malay’s pain-relieving properties seem to be among the most popular reasons people use this strain.

As previously stated, the alkaloids contained in the leaves bind to opioid receptors in our brains and produce very opioid-like effects, such as pain relief.

This pain relief can be used to treat a wide variety of pains and discomforts ranging from minor aches to chronic pain and headaches.

The increase in blood flow that Green Malay produces can also be very effective for treating chronic inflammation.

If pain relief is your primary objective, I highly recommend Green Malay for daytime use, as this strain is not sedative when used correctly.

Red strains are the most commonly used strains for treating pain, but due to their heavy sedation, I only recommend taking them at night.

Here is a long list of medical conditions that have been successfully treated with Green Malay.

  • Headaches
  • Migraines
  • Chemotherapy pain
  • Arthritis
  • Back pain
  • Physical trauma
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Inflammation
  • Osteoporosis
  • Sciatica
  • Muscle soreness
  • Body aches

The pain relief can be expected to last roughly 3-5 hours.

Energy

Energy

Green Malay’s energy boost is much more gradual and balanced than the overwhelming energy obtained from caffeinated beverages such as coffee or energy drinks.

You also don’t have to worry about the caffeine crash.

I clearly remember taking Green Malay late one night because I was sleep-deprived but still had many tasks to complete before calling it a day.

Within a few minutes, my drowsiness had disappeared without me becoming aware of it, and I felt as if I had never been sleep-deprived in the first place. That’s how I can best describe Green Malay’s energy boost.

I recommend using Green Malay’s energy boost during the day to treat:

  • Long strenuous tasks (physical or mental)
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Pick me up

Green Malay’s energy boost can last anywhere from 1 to 3 hours.

Please note that the size of the dose to acquire an energy boost is smaller than YOUR average dose, as smaller doses tend to be more sedative. This goes for all strains.

For example, if you normally take 3 grams of kratom, to obtain an energy boost, you should take 2 grams.

Euphoria

Euphoria

Being able to induce a euphoria at your will is one of the most powerful tools you can use to radically transform your life.

The world’s best life coach, Tony Robbins, insists that the ability to instantly change your emotional state can mean the difference between success and a meaningful life or the complete opposite.

Luckily for us, Green Malay is known for producing very potent euphoria in a matter of minutes.

The feeling can best be described by a surge of optimism and joy, which inevitably becomes a confidence boost. Hence, the reason people become more social.

All of these positive emotions literally change your state and can be used to treat:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Social Anxiety
  • Chronic or temporary stress
  • Inability to focus
  • Lack of motivation
  • Opioid addiction
  • Mood swings
  • ADHD

If you reflect on the many times you’ve procrastinated, it is probably because you lacked motivation. You weren’t in the right state.

Inducing a euphoria and changing your state makes you WANT to tackle the project.

Many strains only provide relaxation that takes the edge off, but Green Malay’s euphoric properties step it up to the next level.

Unfortunately, the euphoria only lasts about thirty minutes, but the mood boost lingers on for up to 2 hours.

Appetite Suppression

Appetite Suppression

One of the lesser-known benefits of Green Malay is its ability to suppress hunger. If you have a hard time cutting back on the amount of calories you’re consuming, Green Malay may be the perfect solution.

Depending on how you take Green Malay, it can take about 10-15 minutes before any sensations of hunger completely dissipate.

Appetite suppression can be used to help with the following:

  • Binge Eating Disorder (BED)
  • Dieting
  • Losing weight

The appetite suppression can last for 2-5 hours.

How to Take Green Malay

There are many ways to take Green Malay, but the most popular include:

  • Toss and Wash
  • Capsules
  • Kratom Tea

These ways of taking kratom will each require a different dose, which I’ll go over in the next section.

Although all 3 utilize Green Malay kratom powder and have the potential to produce potent results, their potency will slightly vary.

How you choose to take Green Malay will ultimately be decided by convenience and how fast you want to experience its effects.

Let’s start with the first.

Green Malay Toss & Wash

Toss & Wash

This is my favorite way of taking Green Malay because it can be consumed very quickly, produces results in a matter of minutes, and the effects pack more of a punch than kratom tea or capsules.

To perform the toss and wash, simply “toss” Green Malay powder into your mouth, drink water, swirl the powder and water in your mouth, and swallow or “wash” it down.

I can assure you it’s more unpleasant than it sounds. The powder is extremely bitter, and the texture doesn’t exactly help, which is why most people tend to avoid this way of taking kratom.

However, if you can get past all the unpleasantness, you’ll be rewarded with fast and potent effects.

Read More: How to Take Kratom For Maximum Results

You should notice the initial effects in about 5-10 minutes after taking the powder and a total time of 3-5 hours.

Tip: Use cold water to minimize the bitter taste.

Pros:

  • Quick consumption
  • Potent results
  • Cheapest
  • Fast acting effects

Cons:

  • Bitter taste & harsh texture
  • Can get messy

Green Malay Capsules

Green Malay Capsules

Green Malay capsules are perfect for those who want to avoid the bitter taste of powder and tea. They’re also super convenient and portable.

Each capsule is made with a pharmaceutical-grade vegetable case to avoid allergic reactions and holds 0.7 grams of powder.

No silicone content is used to make the capsules.

Keep in mind that it takes roughly 30-45 minutes to begin feeling the effects, and they last about 3-5 hours.

If you need something for instant relief, I suggest you use the toss and wash instead.

Pros:

  • Convenient
  • Quick consumption
  • No powder messes
  • No harsh tastes
  • Potent effects

Cons:

  • Higher cost
  • Delayed effects

Green Malay Tea

Green Malay Tea

Preparing tea is an alternative to tossing and washing.

Simply pour boiling water into a container with kratom powder or leaves and filter the powder or leaves.

Never boil water with kratom powder or leaves, as this will destroy the alkaloids responsible for the medicinal effects.

Kratom tea is fast-acting, taking roughly 5-10 minutes to feel the initial effects and about  3-5 hours of amazing relief and energy.

The downside is the time it takes to prepare the tea, which is about 25 minutes, and the bitter flavor. You can improve the taste by adding honey, but not by much.

I suggest Green Malay tea for people who don’t have busy schedules, don’t mind bitter flavors, and enjoy drinking tea.

Pros:

  • Fast acting

Cons:

  • Bitter taste
  • Lengthy preparation time
  • Requires more powder (higher cost)

How to Find Your Green Malay Dosage

Green Malay Dosage

Unfortunately, I keep coming across other blogs suggesting the same dose for all people. They’ll say something like, take 3-5 grams if you want to obtain anxiety relief.

However, this is not only misleading but also dangerous. 5 grams may be fine for some people but can trigger negative side effects in others, such as the notorious nauseous kratom headache.

Therefore, the safest approach to finding a dose that works for you is to experiment. If you already use kratom, stick to your average dose when using Green Malay.

Regardless of how you decide to take Green Malay, make sure you follow these few simple rules.

  1. Stick to only one way of taking Green Malay until you find your ideal dose.
  2. Don’t take kratom twice in the same day while you’re experimenting with dosages, as the effects will be much weaker the second time.
  3. Take Green Malay at least two hours after your last meal.

Dosages will vary with each method of taking kratom. For example, 5 grams of powder taken via the toss and wash will produce more potent effects than 5 grams prepared as tea.

Now that you’ve decided how to take Green Malay, let me show you step by step how to find your perfect dose, but first, keep in mind the following factors all play a role in determining your dosage.

Weight: Like alcohol and many other substances, weight plays a crucial role. The more you weigh, the more Green Malay you will have to take.

Gender: Generally speaking, men have to take more kratom than women, even if both weigh the same. However, there are exceptions to every rule.

Tolerance: Some people are naturally more tolerant of kratom than others, regardless of whether they’ve used kratom or not. For example, it’s very possible for two women weighing the same to require different doses.

Food: The more food you have in your system, the weaker Green Malay’s effects will be.

Toss & Wash Dose

Toss & Wash Dose

To figure out how much powder to take for the toss and wash, I recommend starting with a low dose of 2 grams for people under 200 pounds and 3 grams for those who weigh 200 pounds or more.

Wait at least 30 minutes. If you experienced your desired effects, this is now your dose.

If you felt like the effects were weak or you didn’t experience any effects whatsoever, increase the dose by adding one gram the following day.

Repeat this process of adding a gram a day until you acquire the benefits you’re looking for.

Capsule Dose

Capsule Dose

The process of figuring out your Green Malay capsule dose is very similar to the toss and wash.

Start with a low dose of 3 capsules if you’re under 200 pounds or 4 capsules if you’re 200 pounds or heavier.

Wait at least one hour and thirty minutes. If you experienced your desired effects, this is your dose.

Read More: How Much Kratom Should You Take

If you felt like the effects were weak or nonexistent, increase the dose by adding one capsule the following day. For example, if you took 3 capsules, take 4 the following day.

Repeat this process of adding a capsule a day until you obtain the effects you’re looking for.

Kratom Tea Dose

Kratom tea is going to require a bit more powder than the toss and wash to produce effects with the same level of potency.

Kratom Leaves

Kratom Leaves

You can also use leaves to make kratom tea.

If you grind the leaves into a powder with a coffee grinder, you’ll obtain more potent results than using powder purchased from a vendor. You can also use the ground powder for the toss & wash.

Kratom Krush doesn’t specifically have Green Malay leaves, but they do have green crushed leaves that are just as, if not more potent, than Green Malay.

I suggest starting with 4 grams if you’re under 200 pounds or 6 grams if you’re 200 pounds or heavier.

Remember to wait at least 30-60 minutes before drinking to allow the hot water to extract the alkaloids.

After drinking the tea, wait another 30-60 minutes to experience Green Malay’s medicinal benefits.

If you felt like the effects were weak or nonexistent, add 1 gram of powder or leaves to your dose the following day.

Repeat this process of adding a gram a day until you obtain your desired effects.

When Should I Increase My Dose?

If you feel like your regular dose is no longer effective, increase it via the process of adding 1 gram or 1 capsule to your dose.

Once you’ve gotten close to doubling your dose you should take a tolerance break to avoid consuming large quantities of Green Malay.

I suggest refraining from using kratom for at least one month during your tolerance break.

How to Prevent Green Malay Negative Side Effects

Green Malay Negative effect

The primary reason people experience negative side effects when taking Green Malay is due to taking large doses that their bodies can’t tolerate.

Technically speaking, they’re “overdosing,” but I refrain from using that word because, most of the time, Green Malay’s side effects consist of a non-fatal nauseous headache.

Depending on how large of a dose you took, the headache can be mild or to the point of throwing up.

The best way to avoid negative side effects is to slowly increase your dose (if necessary) on a daily basis until you obtain your desired effects, just as I explained in the previous section.

I’ve experienced the headache myself many times, but luckily, it goes away on its own in about 45 minutes.

If you’re new to kratom and accidentally consume too much, you’re more likely to experience a headache because you haven’t built up a tolerance, especially if you take it twice on the same day.

Hallucinations?

There are many claims regarding kratom and hallucinations, but I’ve yet to meet a person or find a testimonial. I’ve been using kratom for years, and so have many of my readers, yet not a single person has ever hallucinated.

Some people experience psychedelic tendencies, such as colors becoming more vibrant, but not full-blown hallucinations.

Another negative side effect is getting high, but this high is different than a weed high. The times I’ve accidentally gotten high, I was still mentally in control but really dizzy. Time did not slow down, nor did I feel like laughing.

Needless to say, it was far from enjoyable, and the cause was, once again, taking a large dose.

Be wise with your dosages, follow the guidelines I’ve set for you above, and you’ll have only great experiences with Green Malay.

Super Green Malay, Is it Just a Marketing Gimmick?

I get this question all the time, so I decided to run a little experiment to get my answer.

After concluding my research online, I purchased one of the best and most popular Super Green Malay powder brands, Mitragaia, and compared it to Kratom Krush’s regular Green Malay strain (they don’t offer Super Green Malay).

Here’s what I found:

I took both strains via the toss and wash first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and on different days to decrease the amount of influence from other factors such as food.

I took my regular dose for each strain, 5 grams.

I carried out the experiment twice. In other words, I took each strain twice on a different day on an empty stomach.

My ultimate conclusion? Aside from a sweet lemon-type smell from Super Green Malay, I couldn’t tell the difference.

Kratom Krush’s regular Green Malay seemed to match the same effects as Mitragaia’s Super Green Malay.

I’m not trying to bash Mitragaia, as every person can have unique experiences.

It’s very possible that Mitragaia’s regular Green Malay is slightly less potent than their super version, or maybe I purchased from a weaker batch, which is not at all uncommon with all kratom vendors.

It’s also possible that Kratom Krush’s Green Malay is the same as all Super Green Malays; they just happened to leave out the word, super.

At the end of the day, this was my personal experience, but I figured it would help you gain some clarity about which vendor is right for you.

However, one thing I can say for sure is that Kratom Krush’s Green Maeng Da undoubtedly surpasses both Green Malays.

Green Malay Kratom Reddit Opinions

Reddit Opinions

Although everyone tends to have slightly different experiences with each strain, I’m happy to say that Green Malay has an overwhelmingly large number of positive Reddit reviews.

Reddit user NicoRealNSE offers positive feedback regarding the euphoria and pain relief, while the people in the comments seem to agree.

Amambamama writes about using Green Malay for the first time and absolutely loving it. He/she has used Green Maeng Da in the past and claims it’s the only other strain that provided satisfactory results.

Last but not least, four-forty-four tried Green Malay capsules and claimed he had an amazing and motivated shift at work. I can personally attest to using Green Malay for work as well, especially for writing these posts.
