The Mind-Blowing Effects of Delta 10 THC Flower

Delta-10-THC (delta-10) is one of the most exciting legal highs available – and now, you can even get delta-10 flower! If you’re looking for a psychoactive hemp product that closely resembles marijuana, you’ve found it!

In this post, I want to talk about what delta-10 flower is and how the experience compares to regular THC. I’ll also discuss how to use delta-10 buds and give you some crucial information regarding drug tests.

Let’s begin by exploring the market and reviewing the top five delta-10 flower products.

ELYXR LA Delta 10 Flower

ELYXR LA Delta 10 Flower

ELYXR LA already has a wide-ranging collection of delta-10 products, but their flower offerings are the pick of the bunch. These strains, rich in CBD, terpenes, and delta-10, promise mellow highs that never become overwhelming.

ELYXR LA makes its delta-10 buds with federally legal hemp, CBD kief, and premium delta-10 oil. You can buy any of their strains in various sizes, from 3.5-gram jars to massive 1-lb resealable pouches.

Choose from indica strains like Master Kush, which have a citrusy flavor and produce a body high or energizing cerebral sativas like Jack Herer. Third-party tested for Farm Bill compliance and delta-10 potency by Marin Analytics.

Strains: Jack Herer (Sativa), Pineapple (Sativa), Grand Daddy Purple (Indica), Master Kush (Indica), Ice Cream Cake (Hybrid), Sunset (Hybrid)

ATLRx Delta 10 Flower

ATLRx Delta 10 Flower

Enjoy an uplifting and euphoric smoke with a delta-10 flower strain from ATLRx. These CBD-rich buds have been coated in hemp-derived delta-10 distillate, giving them mild psychoactive effects ideal for those wanting a mellow trip.

Perhaps you fancy Pineapple OG, a sativa-dominant strain boasting fruity flavors and uplifting effects. Or maybe the relaxing indica-dominant Zkittles, which checks in at 15% CBD and 7% delta-10, would be more to your liking.

Whichever you go for, expect a tasty smoke from these bright-colored, trichome-laden buds. Available in five sizes: 1 gram, 3.5 grams, 7 grams, 14 grams, 28 grams (1oz). Marin Analytics provides acceptable third-party reports for ATLRx’s products.

Strains: Pineapple OG, Zkittles

Lifted Made Delta 10 THC Caviar Flower

Lifted Made Delta 10 THC Caviar Flower

With more than 50% active cannabinoids, this delta-10 caviar flower from Lifted Made offers outstanding potency. Made with high-quality, hand-trimmed CBG flower and premium delta-10 distillate, expect a blend of relaxing and energizing effects.

You’ll also find an array of secondary cannabinoids in these top-shelf nugs, including cannabinol (CBN) and cannabichromene (CBC). These all contribute to the entourage effect, a synergistic reaction that enhances your high.

Urb Delta-10 Flower comes in 7-gram jars and is currently available in three unique strains. Farm Bill compliant and third-party tested by Marin Analytics.

Strains: Banana Runtz (Hybrid), Guava Kush (Sativa), Mint Cookies (Indica)

CBD Hemp Direct Delta 10 THC Hemp Flower

CBD Hemp Direct Delta 10 THC Hemp Flower

Next up, we have Delta-10 Flower from CBD Hemp Direct. This company uses the classic method of taking a successful CBD-rich flower and applying coatings of potent delta-10 distillate to give it a mind-altering kick.

CBD Hemp Direct’s delta-10 strains have roughly a 2:1 CBD to delta-10 ratio. These quantities make for mildly psychoactive and physically relaxing effects. The combination of delta-10 distillate and trichomes means the buds are sticky to the touch.

All strains come packaged in airtight jars to

preserve freshness and conceal the pungent hemp aroma. Available in several sizes, from 1.5 grams to 1oz. CBD Hemp Direct uses Verde Testing for third-party analyses.

Strains: Citron, Gelato

Curevana Delta 10 Flower

Curevana Delta 10 Flower

Finally, we have an intriguing collection of delta-10 flower products from Curevana. The company makes bold claims about its strains and sells them in neat 7-gram jars. But I’m not convinced they live up to the hype.

The packaging states that each jar contains 1000mg – but it doesn’t say what the 1000mg is. The third-party analysis from Marin Analytics shows 285mg delta-10, 390mg delta-8, and 30mg CBN.

That’s weaker than stated, but importantly, this flower is still Farm Bill compliant, containing only traces of THC. But the slightly deceptive advertising stops me from ranking these Curevana delta-10 nugs any higher.

Strains: Bam Bam OG (Sativa), Junglato (Sativa), Willy Wonka (Indica), Pink Rozay (Hybrid), Zaza (Hybrid)

What is Delta 10 Flower?

 Delta 10 Flower

Delta-10 flower describes CBD-rich hemp buds coated in delta-10 distillate. Growers can’t cultivate strains with high quantities of delta-10, hence the need to apply delta-10 distillate separately.

Some companies also add CBD kief for extra sedation or use CBG flower instead of CBD. Delta-10 flower also contains terpenes – these are plant chemicals that determine whether your high is stimulating or relaxing.

Hemp-derived delta-10 flower must have less than 0.3% THC. Hemp naturally produces small amounts of THC, so take care when purchasing delta-10 flower and only buy from brands that respect Farm Bill regulations.

What is delta-10?

Both delta-10 and THC are tetrahydrocannabinols and share an almost identical chemical structure. Delta-10 is an analog of THC.

But compared to THC (i.e., regular marijuana), delta-10 is much less intoxicating – reports suggest the cannabinoid is not even half as potent.

Delta-10 and THC initiate psychoactive effects by binding with CB1 receptors located in the endocannabinoid system (ECS). Delta-10 has a lower binding affinity at the CB1 receptor, which is why it has limited mind-altering properties.

However, for reasons scientists haven’t yet discovered, delta-10 is more energizing and uplifting than THC.

The stimulating and relatively mild intoxicating effects make delta-10 the perfect daytime high, when you need to stay alert and in control.

Potential Health Benefits of Delta 10 Flower

Health Benefits of Delta 10 Flower

Beyond its value as a recreational substance, delta-10 may also have therapeutic potential. Due to a lack of literature on delta-10, we can only make educated guesses on its possible benefits by drawing on existing THC research.

Pain relief: Many people self-medicate with THC, touting its pain-relieving effects. Some studies suggest that THC may alleviate pain by binding with the CB1 receptor

If so, we can expect delta-10 to have a similar effect, although you might need a higher dose for meaningful relief. Smoking delta-10 flower would be most effective for nerve pain. Long-lasting edibles would be best at combating chronic conditions.

Increased appetite: The appetite-enhancing effects of THC and delta-10 are comical for recreational consumers but could have a more serious therapeutic use.

For those suffering from eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa or bulimia, the appetite boost from delta-10 may help. Managing an eating disorder might improve a person’s quality of life and deal with mood issues.

Reduced inflammation: The endocannabinoid system connects to the immune system via the CB2 receptor. Like THC, delta-10 also binds with the CB2 receptor, producing an anti-inflammatory effect.

By reducing inflammation, delta-10 could provide relief from numerous conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

Allow me to stress that delta-10 flower does not have any approved medical uses. Delta-10 products are not intended to prevent, treat, or cure any condition or disease.

Side effects of delta 10 flower

Side effects of delta 10 flower

All drugs have side effects, and psychoactive ones tend to have more than most. But in comparison to other cannabinoids, delta-10 has relatively few. It’s perhaps the best choice if you’ve had uncomfortable experiences with marijuana in the past.

Delta-10 may trigger anxiety and paranoia, but these side effects are less common than with THC due to the lower potency. Delta-10 will increase your heart rate and could cause dry mouth and red-eye.

If psychosis, schizophrenia, or any other mental illnesses run in your family, don’t use delta-10 products. The psychoactive effects could worsen existing symptoms or set off new ones if you are predisposed to these mental disorders.

How to Use Delta 10 Flower

Delta-10 flower has several possible uses, each providing a different type of high, but coming with advantages and disadvantages. Let’s take a closer look.

Smoking

It’s the classic and most familiar way of enjoying hemp and marijuana flower products. Smoking joints, blunts, and bowls will get you seriously stoned in minutes and take you on an intense psychoactive ride.

But smoking in any context is harmful, increasing the risk of lung cancer, emphysema, and other deadly diseases. Many decide that an occasional smoke is worth the possible consequences, but others aren’t prepared to smoke at all.

Vaping

vaping

Vaping is an underrated method of enjoying delta-10 flower. You still get the rapid, fast-acting high that smoking is renowned for, but with reduced harmful effects.

Vaping comes with a hefty start-up cost, as you’ll need to invest in a device compatible with dry herbs like Delta-10 Flower. Standard vaporizers and pens don’t work with flower.

Homemade products

delta-10 edibles

While delta-10 edibles, tinctures, and capsules are readily available nowadays, cannabis enthusiasts may still want to make their own. That way, you can add a personal twist!

Take your delta-10 flower and follow one of the many recipes online designed for cannabis or hemp buds. Ensure your delta-10 doesn’t get destroyed by keeping temperatures below 300ºF when cooking.

Does Delta 10 Flower Show Up on a Drug Test?

Drug Test

Yes, delta-10 flower could show up on a drug test, with both the delta-10 and the trace levels of THC liable to trigger a positive test.

The CBD-rich hemp used to make delta-10 flower will have small amounts of THC. Even if concentrations remain within the 0.3% Farm Bill limit, regular consumption could still tip you over the threshold.

Moreover, delta-10 likely shows up on a drug test anyway. Delta-10 and THC only have minor chemical differences, and delta-10’s metabolite would almost certainly set off a test checking for tetrahydrocannabinols.

What to Look for When Purchasing Delta 10 Flower

What to Look

I have a checklist that I refer to when shopping for hemp flower and other delta-10 products. I highly recommend you look for the following when purchasing.

Third-party lab reports

With no FDA quality control checks on the horizon, third-party testing will continue to be critical for delta-10 products. Independent lab verification is the only way you can trust if a delta-10 flower product is legit.

The report must say how much THC is present to show whether it’s Farm Bill compliant or not. Analyses must also state the delta-10 concentration and ideally provide a breakdown of the minor cannabinoids and terpenes.

Delta-10 potency

Delta-10 flower varies in potency, depending on the strength of the distillate and the amount used. Buds with less than 10% delta-10 will produce a mellow psychoactive effect, especially given the presence of CBD.

Strains with 15% or more delta-10 deliver a more familiar cannabis high, albeit not to the intensity of today’s best-selling THC flower. Delta-10 is naturally less potent than THC, so it will never make you quite as stoned.

Terpene profile

Retailers should clarify whether a delta-10 strain is a sativa, indica, or hybrid. Sativa strains have an energizing effect, particularly given the stimulating properties of delta-10.

Strains with indica terpenes will physically relax you and are best for evening enjoyment. Hybrid strains offer a balance and work well at any hour of the day.

How to Store Delta 10 Flower

Keep delta-10 flower in an airtight container, such as a mason or Kilner jar. Preventing exposure to oxygen and oxidation is vital for preserving potency. Store the jar in a dark, cool, and dry location, away from direct sunlight.

How Long Does Delta 10 Flower Last?

How Long Does Delta 10 Flower Last

Delta-10 flower lasts for around three hours if smoked or vaporized. Tincture and edible highs should last for about four to eight hours, respectively. Effects may vary depending on body size and tolerance.

Purchasing Delta 10 Flower Online vs. Shops Near Me

Online vs. Shops Near Me

Delta-10 flower is cheaper when buying online, and you can choose from various strains online. Physical stores selling delta-10 buds may only have one sativa, indica, or hybrid available, making it difficult to fine-tune your high.

Furthermore, brick-and-mortar shops aren’t as disciplined with COAs. In contrast, genuine online hemp stores always have a page to view up-to-date lab reports.
